a break from the rain
The house renovation is still on but we’re almost done with it.
It’s just been calm this week. Really slow and mellow, so far. I’m slowly putting back everything in it’s place, after carefully cleaning every nook and cranny and tossing stuff we don’t need anymore. It’s a big job but something I truly enjoy doing.
The past couple of weeks we’ve watched the rain. Lots and lots of rain. Jake and I were so happy when the sun finally came out yesterday. He played with mud while I tackled the atrium until A came home from work. Then off we went to Chili’s for a quick bite. It’s been awhile since I went there so I had to get the Margarita Presidente. :-)

We brought enchilada from home for Jake but he was able to try the corn chips with salsa. The server confirmed it didn’t contain any wheat. He was so delighted and helped himself. It was a great feeling to see him enjoy eating out with us.
By the time we were done, the rain came back. But only for a little bit, then the sky turned beautiful.

A moment like this always makes me stop and smile. Watching the sunset is one of life’s simplest pleasures.
