Yesterday cried out for something new so we went indoor rock climbing here.
A and I got a quick lesson on how to be a belayer – that’s the person who holds the rope and secure the climber during his climb. We practiced using the carabiners, making the perfect figure-8 and getting acquainted with the equipment and the walls.
Soon, A and I were taking turns as belayer and all 3 of us tried rock climbing for the first time. Wondering if Jake is old enough to do this? Yes he is, and he’s a natural!
I have a feeling we’ll be doing this more. :-)
